Summary
Boyd was a fighter pilot who changed the way every air force in the world flies and fights. He was a true fighter pilot, and his mind-set and ideas about aerial tactics were ahead of his time. Boyd created lasting contributions to aviation during the winter of 1962, including writing a report on aerial attack tactics and developing the Energy-Maneuverability Theory. He was an independent officer who cared more for his work than his career and was known for his outspoken nature and love of conflict with others.
